PRODUCT REVIEW: table saw - DeWalt DW744XPS - Portable Heavy Duty

There are many table saws on the market today but the DeWalt DW744XPS - Portable Heavy Duty Table Saw must surely rank as one of the best.
I have owned this model for several years now and the machine still performs as new.

In my opinion the best feature of the superb table saw is its portability, made from precision cast aluminum the weight is less than 22KG and can easily be moved around close to the work area.
There is also an optional leg kit allowing the saw to be at working height.Everything is made very easy on this table saw with many features I really like making it hard to put any one feature above the other.
so, in no particular order this is my list:

1. You can cut rips as wide as 622mm using the telescopic fence rails and also wind the blade over from 0degs to 45degs easily using the front handle which has all the degrees markings for extra precision.
2. The main on/off button has a flip over guard making acidental switching on impossible. But, once running, the flip over cover acts as an emergency off button. This is a very clever safety feature.
3. A dust extraction port is positioned to the side and you can connect any form of hoover or full dust system to it easily.
4. The saw is very portable and light. Although you will still need two hands, it has hand grips positioned exactly where you would expect to find then, giving you a solid carrying position.
5. I particularly like the soft start motor as there ris no jolt on start up.
6. The depth of cut goes right upto 77mm in one pass.
7. The easy guide locking system at the front is also a very good feature along with the fitted measure scale and magnified sight line its difficult to do wrong cut.

8. The measuring scale is very accurate along the whole scale and once locked into position, which in itself is a simple pressing action, the guide stayed exactly where it had been positioned.
All in all a fantastic piece of kit. Robust and strong and easily able to do all forms of cutting without a fuss.
I tend to use fine tooth blades for my work, especially when doing mitres and rebate work and this DeWalt DW744XPS - Portable Heavy Duty Table Saw has never let me down.

Hard to find anything as good as the DeWalt DW744XPS - Portable Heavy Duty Table Saw
I would definitely recommend it to any tradesman.
